Introductory text
Brazil, Porto Real, 2012. The South American C3 (the second under that name) was launched, hoping for as brilliant a career as its older sister that had such success in Europe. And it happened again!
Closely modelled on the 2009 European model, it distinguished itself, however, by its specific technical base and its ethanol-compatible FlexFuel engines. It shared the same cargo space and novel dashboard with prominent vents with the C3 Aircross and the C3 Picasso. Its front pioneered the grille bars integrating the chevron pattern, anticipating the 2013 European model, but on the other hand redesigned the lower air intake.
A new change for the American happens in 2016: adoption of the Flex variation for new PureTech petrol engines.
